Reel Remembering
This start-up appears an incredible mode for tailoring the aesthetic experience to specifically target the biological
and emotional needs of an audience experiencing memory loss. It springs forth from solid ground though the project hasn't gained full momentum with its relatively recent release. I
look forward to seeing its effects! Projects like this reinforce the point we consistently attempt to illustrate to gain funding for non-pharmacological treatments.

Early Delving
An early delving into the realm of books, descriptive language, fantastic imagery, and magical musings, fostered a deep love for twirling curling calligraphics and poetic storytelling in my artistic practices. The terminology of the old, traditional, and textured informed my approach to narrating modern life. In articulating artist statements, text on visual history, and concepts beyond comprehension, I seek to creatively contrive a new world founded on the ideals that resonate with my soul and the values that bind me to my formative communities. In learning this light as a child, through various stories, songs, and artwork, I innately bond with certain elements that reflect that myth-like valor, and bring them to new heights through modern metaphor.
Predilection to Play
My perspective on play is joyful exuberance. Play should be unplanned, unrestricted, uncompetitive, and undulating. Play is a place where new curiosities and original thought emerges without care for the result or aftermath. It’s self-expression. It’s physical expression. It’s emotional freedom. To play is to see the world from the top of the mighty mountain, take a deep breath, and jump off, knowing that all that all the reason and risks don’t exist there.
Designing for play is a difficult task. One must create a safe, supportive, and stimulating space. With plenty of objects, toys, arts materials, nature, and room to run. Designing an office for play should allow for ergonomic expression of the human form in an environment built for it, not built for efficiency or cost. Designing for play is designing for life. Life should be novel and fun, and purpose and aesthetics should come second to playfulness in environments such as schools, daycares, nursing homes, corporate spaces, parks, sidewalks, and even restrooms. Enjoyment should come first, and all other design components fall in line.

Baked Alaska
Roll it out on paper. All at once, or little by little.
Be sure to say it as loud as a hushed truth, but soft as a summer storm.
Make it tall, slow, and sturdy like a grandfather clock, but be sure it ticks by quickly.
Allow it to bake in the oven at 350 degrees, until it cools and freezes in the breeze.
Don't let it burn, but make sure that it singes, cringes, and stays anything but inside.
Tell it to hit the open road, but make sure it doesn't melt or spill upon impact.
Bring it to the top of a glacier, &let it's roar echo like a only something quiet can.

Another Story
I leave America to travel a short journey abroad, "simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life." Thirsty for learning, I seek the stimulation of raw observation and that gentle flutter of eyes fully grasping the intricacies of what others may teach.
It will bring a strange and sad unfamiliarity, as it rips me from nostalgia. However this treacherous territory excites and challenges me to fling far from the familiar as having told its tale, to embark on the brink of what is brave, true, and changing.
Time can be as pleasantly stagnant as a puddle as it passes swiftly by us, but if I buckle up my rainboots, and just hop and stomp in the water, the waves and ripples will change everything and become new crazy life.
